First Group Lea Interchange

The Lea Interchange Phase 3 project was a highly complex environment that saw the stripping and re-sheeting of the existing bus depot and associated offices for First Group during operational hours. Working on a live bus depot required disciplined coordination and stringent health and safety procedures.
The works were also being undertaken alongside the live railway and the entire project carried the added pressure of having to be completed prior to the Olympics starting.
