FK Group’s Apprentice Academy is a fabulous way to make a start on a career in construction.
However you look at it, the Apprentice Academy makes a lot of sense…
- A respected two year technical apprenticeship – High quality on the job training,
- Study for Level 3 NVQ
- Experience of different roles in construction
- And all the while you’re earning a wage
The programme is run by experienced construction industry professionals, and gives you the chance to obtain knowledge and skills across a range of subjects, including:
- Estimating
- Design
- Site operations
- Quantity surveying
It’s the kind of experience that can lead to a wide range of careers in construction.
Who can apply?
The programme is for school leavers who have achieved at least 4 GCSEs (grades 7-4) including English and Maths. The programme is based at our head office in Altrincham.
There will be 6 programme places in total.
What’s the process?
Applications will be processed by FK Group. Successful applicants will then be enrolled by FK Group on a relevant accredited course at a local college. Most courses involve a day’s college study per week with the remaining four days spent in on-the-job training involving structured modules and mentoring.

I have learnt many things, including how to cover all aspects of health and safety on a construction site aswell as ensuring quality and QA. This has given me an understanding on the process in managing a construction project.
