Two St Peters

Two St. Peter’s Square is part of the new vision for this prominent Manchester square. It offers 5,203 sq. ft of retail and 161,065 sq. ft of high quality, BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Grade A office space across 12 floors.

Extensive glazing is a key component of the building’s timeless quality, a feature which demanded a flexible and bespoke approach to the project.

The city centre location posed logistical and installation challenges for FK, and so a bespoke unitised system was developed to accommodate movement demands. This unique system was first tested off-site to ensure compliance with the specification’s requirements

FK also incorporated custom brise soleil units, with new drainage details developed in partnership with Schüco. Windows were installed off-site into techcrete façade panels to minimise installation time, and FK performance-tested these prior to arrival on site.

Bespoke glass support details were also developed and engineered in collaboration with Schüco, to accommodate the oversize groundfloor glass panes of 2.4 meters x 4.4 meters – each weighing nearly a tonne each.
